About Test Case Management (TCM)

TCM offers various test management functionalities with simple user interfaces. There are three differing roles, and depending on the role, access levels are different:

SQA (Software Quality Assurance)
- Can view test cases, update results (pass/fail) per test case
- Each test case with fail result requires an issue ID

SQE (Software QA Engineer)
- Has SQA access + can modify (add, remove, translate) test cases

MGR (Manager)
- Has SQE access + can grant user access, assign tester to a specific OO.o application (writer, calc, etc.) and platform (Win, Linux, etc.)

Once logged in, MGR sees 1-6; SQE 1-2, 4, 6; SQE 1-2, 6.

1. Test Case Maintenance

"download" allows user to download test cases in a spreadsheet format. SQE can upload test cases. Clicking on Category takes user to the list of test cases for that category. See below screen capture for the Base Category.

Click on Case ID in order to edit that test case.

Add, remove, modify, or/and translate test cases.

2. Test Report

Gives # of test cases that had corresponding status for specific builds.

Various sorting options for reports.

Inside a report looks like above.

3. Test Assignment Maintenance

MGR can assign user to specific platforms to be tested.

4. Test Result Update

SQA can select pass, skip, or fail for each test case. For Test Steps that do not return the Expected Results should accompany Bug ID.

5. Property Maintenance allows MGRs to grant user access

MGR can grant user access to TCM.

6. Set Password allows all users to change their passwords
