Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 118159
Crash when changing font color to automatic on Mac
Last modified: 2015-09-17 23:41:07 UTC
If I try to change the font color to "automatic" (ger. "Automatisch"), Writer freezes for 1-2 seconds, followed by the crash. Immediately after the crash, the recoovery window appears. After that happened, I tried to replicate the crash - and again, it crashed. It doens't matter if any text is selected: Writer always crashes as soon as i click the "automatic" button.

I am running Mac OS 10.8.5 Apache Open Office 4.0.1 Build 9714-rev.1524958 Upon following the steps showed in the video. The program did not crash in this version. I used a Mac, same as in the video. I also tried it on Windows 7 same build number and version as stated above. This may be a localization problem that may only crash on your particular language settings or it could have been fixed in later versions. On English (United States) settings it works fine. Steps taken to replicate: 1. Open a new writer document 2. type some text, from the video Hello World. 3. Highlight the text to blue. I also tried red, green, and orange. 4. clicked on highlight button again and changed it from a color to automatic.
