Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 50136
Copy/paste with outline numbering does not work correctly
Last modified: 2015-01-27 21:50:46 UTC
Copy/paste operations completely confuse the outline numbering- see attached files. To reproduce, create the text as shown, add outline numbering and make heading 1 and heading 2 lines, and copy/paste one of the lines as shown.
Created attachment 26763 [details] before pasting, with highlight
Created attachment 26764 [details] after the copy-paste operation
Results: - the numbering itself is confused and shows 1.1 twice - the 'sub3' line does not have the correct formatting (heading 2) - changing the '1.1 sub2' line to heading1 changes the formatting but not the numbering
MRU->DVO: when selecting as shown in the screenshot and then copying and immediately pastinmg over the selection, the format of the paragraph is gone. You needn't activate an Outline numbering for this.
Could this be left at P2 as requested because of the p2 criteria: "- Basic functionality is not working correctly" ? When editing, this is used a lot, and it makes OOwriter quite difficult to use when editing large documents where lots of text moves/copies/pastes happen. Getting back to correct numbering and formatting after this is difficult.
I would support lohner's request. This issue seriously cripples the outline numbering functionality. It is an issue likely to be encountered also by the average user, not only the power user.
I also support the request for P2 as it is basic functionality and makes woriing with larger documents even more complicated.
Is this a duplicate of Issue 47340 - http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=47340 - which has been solved in 680m119 ?
