Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 52621
Paragraph jumps to next page after <ENTER> and <Backspace>
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
The last paragraph on the first page is 1 line longer than the page - so because of widow control 2 lines go on the second page. Position the cursor at the end of line 1 on page 2 and press <ENTER> -> the shorter Paragraph does fit on page 1. But if you press <BACKSPACE> right afterwards instead of the last 2 lines the *entire* paragraph is posted on the second page. At a friends PC with a former snapshot (m113 on Linux if I remember well) the document opens in that position and can be brought to the m121 behaviour (-> 2 lines on page 2) by reformatting (changing paragraph style to "Standard" and back to "Textkörper" or removing paragraph and UNDOing). The document has been part of a large document I've been writing for years and I don't remember its origin very well. I'm quite sure that it had to be moved from SO 5.0 to SO 5.2, OOo1.0, OOo1.1.2 so I assume my paragraph style has been corrrupted on the way. But with OOo1.1.5rc1 the paragraph is split and fit together in the right way - 2 lines on the 2nd page. -> regression? I'll attach the document (the interesting lines are painted red) and hope you can reproduce my steps. Regards Bernhard
Created attachment 28318 [details] Last paragraph on page one moves on page two - instructions inline
I can confirm the behavior of the attached document with OOo1.9.118 on Win XP Home. I get the described behavior with a new document too.
same problem on linux -> OS to ALL Update all doesn't help - but inserting and deleting a paragraph break cures the behaviour again.
MRU->FME: place the cursor, where it is stated in the red text opn beginning of page 2. press enter and then Backspace and see the whole paragraph move onto psge 2.
