Description ravenant 2005-09-14 15:47:04 UTC
when i use upper index in a document, save it in RTF format, quit OO and then
open the document again, all the upper indexes are not correct - the height of
the upper indexes is the same as the height of normal text, and its bottom is in
the middle of the line; it makes that:
1) indexes are too big
2) all the lines are displaced (spaces between lines with indexes are bigger)
because of this I must do my work in MS Office and I really don't like it :(((

MRU->FLR export a text containing footnotes to RTF format and reopen in Writer
-> the footnote anchors are not in superscript format anymore.

I just want to add that this problem is still persisting; superscript should be
raised by 33% (automatic) and the relative font size is 58%; when exporting to
RTF and then re-opening the superscript is raised by 41% (strange wherethis
number comes from) and relative font size is 100%.
The same is true for subscript.
And this seems to be an export problem as a) if the exported RTF file is opened
with another programm (e.g. WordPad) the problem is already visible and b) if a
RTF file including some superscript characters is created with a different
programm and then opened with OO, the superscripts are correct.
This problem can be rather annoying if you have long texts with a lot of sub and
superscripts, as for example in scientific writing. Correcting all the super and
subscripts in files that have been exported to RTF can take a long long time.

reassigning to hbrinkm

Update : even with OO 2.2.0 this problem is still persisting.
And from the tests done this really seems to be a problem of the OO RTF export
module.
And this can be really annoying when you need to use many subscripts and
superscripts, as in science writing. Basically this bug causes the RTF export
from OO to be unuseable.
And this has been reported more than one and a half years ago ...
I (and probably others as I'm not the original reporter) would really appreciate
if you could have a look at this problem
Thanks very much in advance
