Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 57314
Automatic Outline Numbering should be easily removable
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
I will post several bugs about a feature that seems to be undocumented. I will call it Automatic Outline Numbering: Enter some paragraphs formatted as Heading 1 and apply some numbering to only one of them via Format > Bullets and Numbering. All the paragraphs will get numbered automagically, just as if you had applied the numbering via Tools > Outline Numbering. Problem: After applying the workaround mentioned in Bug 57312, the feature works rather fine. You can even change the numbering style by calling Format > Bullets and Numbering and selecting a new numbering style. But you can't remove the numbering by calling Format > Bullets and Numbering and clicking the Remove button. Solution: The Remove button should do the same magic as the rest of the dialog.
The outline numbering can currently be removed in the Tools.Outline numbering dialog. There, for the desired level, set the "Numbering type" to "none". MRU->FL: the behaviour of the "Remove" button in outlines is currently not specified. Should this remove only one paragraph from outline numbering or the whole Outline for the current outline level?
