Description anieden 2006-02-07 21:37:59 UTC
Follow these steps:

* Assign full justification (German "Blocksatz") to the text body paragraph format.
* Write some thing with that paragraph format.
* Insert a table.
* In a field that has the table contents paragraph format, write something.
(Important: Do not manually assign that paragraph format to the cell.)

You will notice that the text in the table cell is fully justified, even if the
paragraph format for table contents specifies left justification. If you
explicitly assign the paragraph format to a table cell, all goes well.

Reassigned to ES.
Comment 2 lars 2006-02-09 16:54:01 UTC
what do you mean by text body paragraph format? text body style? paragraph
format (Format->Paragraph)? And what do you mean in point 4: In a field that
has...; by coincidence or how should it have this format? If it has the format
which you set to justified before it's clear that the text will be justified ;-)

In the file that I've just attached, you can see:

Oh yes, "format" = "style" and "justification" probably = "alignment", sorry.

* The text inside the table uses table content style (I'm not sure what the
English name is).

* The table content style has left alignment set.

* Nevertheless, the text in the table is fully justified (justified to both
margins), although I did not manually apply that alignment. The only thing I did
was assign full justification to the text body style (which is used by the
paragraph above the table).

Ok, confirmed with 680_m155 on WinXP Pro SP2: open Writer, change the Text
alignment of the Text body style to justified, write some lines, apply the Text
body style to these lines, insert a table, write someting into A2: the text
becomes justified although the style for this table cell is Table contents

ES->FME: as discussed, strange thing. Regression *after* 2.0.1.
Comment 7 frank.meies 2006-02-10 16:06:02 UTC
FME->HBRINKM: Looks like this is related to internal task 109161. Please have a
look.

Cells in tables within a Writer document should allow data both text and number
to be justified; left, right or centered. Cell formatting should be permitted.
Comment 13 Marcus 2017-05-20 11:15:52 UTC
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
