Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 61860
footnote above line when printing/exporting to pdf
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:15:35 UTC
this issue has already been closed, but the problem persists and is very annoying (previous issue no 38449). the problem seems to occur when the footnote anchor is on the last line of text. i could attach the file
Created attachment 34014 [details] footnote 24 appears above footnote separator
Created attachment 34015 [details] footnote 24 appears above footnote separator
I cannot see the problem with OO 2.0.1 on Windows. There the footnote is displayed and printed correctly below the line. Does it happen on your machine when displaying or printing? Which printer do you use?
i printed the document on a kyocera-mita fs1010 - same effect: footnote still above footline. also exported document to pdf - still same problem.
Created attachment 34031 [details] footnote remains above footline even after pdf-export
MRU->HI: pls have a look on Unix, eventually this is a MAC-only problem.
HI->ericb: Please hava a look. Unfortunately I'm not able to investigate in MAC OS. It looks good in Unix.
ericb->hi Ok, I confirm, but I probably got it : looks like the margins have an offset on macosx, and you'll have to decrease the size to obtain the exact same look. I'll attach two screenshots to illustrate : 1) the bug 2) the workaround waiting a solution
Created attachment 34044 [details] footnote24 isreally above footnote separator
Created attachment 34045 [details] decreasing margins left and right seems to solve the problem
I forgot : all tests have been made on Mac OS X 10.4 / Mac Intel ( Imac duo core) with m155
ericb->hi May you please take over this issue or reassign it ? It's out of my skills. Thank's in advance :-)
changing the margins or other things is a kind of workaround, but not really practical, because as soon as you have lots of footnotes, the problem reappears somewhere else in the text.
ericb->hi I confirm this is a bug... now searching someone using a mac who can help to fix that :-)
this once (OOo 1.x) happened on other platforms as well, see issue 29062
