Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 69245
Margins Not updated in labels
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:17:54 UTC
Good Day All . . . This came to light when I created some labels. In Page properties, the page size was User with a right margin of 0". I have Letter size paper. I changed the Page Size to Letter and clicked OK. The GUI page layout reflected the Page Size with new margins which by past experience was .75". For some reason I went back into Page Properties and the Margins still displayed the old User page properties. It had not updated with the new page size.
Can't confirm that problem with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]", but may be My test conditions differed from appsdev's. @appsdev: Pls. attach a sample file and contribute a _step_by_step_instruction
Good Day. Thank You for the quick reply. OK. Here is the blow by blow description with oo_label_bug.tar snapshot graphics attached. 1. I open fc5-Linux OpenOffice Writer 2.0.3 with the attached default.ott template added because my en_uk settings default to page size A4 but I want page size Letter. 2. I click File > New > Labels (001.png) 3. I click New Document and I get 002.png. Note: no right margin. 4. I click Format > Page and I get 003.png. 5. The page format is User so I change it to Letter and click OK. 6. 004.png shows what I get with the Letter change. 7. I go back to Format > Page and 005.png shows the margins not updated. Hope this helps. oo_label_bug.tar contains: 001.png - initial labels format windows 002.png - page after choosing business card label 003.png - first format page showing the User page size 004.png - new page view after changing to Letter size page format 005.png - final format page after changing to letter size where the margins are unchanged

Reassigned to HI.
Confirming behavior with OO 2.0.4 on Win XP. Whether it is intended or not, I do not know.
AFAIK the page format will be build with the coordinates of the top and left measures. HI->OS: Maybe we should avoid this kind of confusion and set the page format as letter or as Din A4 related to the selected type of sheet or brand. If a brand is unidentifiable, then make a user page format.
Target "3.0" is reserved for special feature, "2.x" seems to be more appropriate.
move target to 3.x according http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Target_3x
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
