Please see sample file 'faq4_107_01.ods'. 
Select B21 cell, chose Outline - Data - Group, and click OK in Grouping Dialog. 
However, the term related to the date has not translated. 

Please translate the following terms.

SBA+FST: Confirmed. Same in OOo 2.1.
SBA->ER: FST showed me that Excel2003 does it differently (The terms ARE
translated, contrary to what you said was agreed on initially concerning locale
data for CJK).
Please have a look at the attached .xls file.

This has to be investigated. The strings displayed as column titles are also
written to the file format. If loaded in a differently localized version and
reselecting the grouping with the dialog strings might not match. This actually
is a Calc issue.

Currently the 'Q' number format is used to display quarters with the
quarter1Abbreviation from locale data, the request here could be satisfied by
using the 'QQ' with quarter1Word instead. This would be a change in the Calc
application. However, that would also affect other locales, and the
specification http://specs.openoffice.org/calc/compatibility/grouping.sxw says
to use the short representation. To satisfy both needs the Japanese
quarter1Abbreviation could be redefined to the full string as well, if Q1..Q4
aren't used in Japanese. Can anyone confirm this?

The request here is to redefine the abbreviated month names for the Gregorian
calendar from English names to month number followed by "月". Any objections?
