Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 82413
Give caption tooltips a meaningfull content
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:17:48 UTC
When user moves mouse over caption of an object he can see tooltip eg: "Table = Table+1" or "Illustration = Illustration+1". It makes no sense. :)
Reassigned to ES.
It's because a caption is a field (variable plus increment) and there is no distinction with other fields. But indeed we could improve this.Reassigned to Requirements
.
setting target and cc: pjanik
Can you please look into this issue and reassign accordingly? Thx!
I doubt that users are interested whether we implement a caption as a field or something else. I agree that the tooltip does not look very helpful.
Fixed in cws os112 in sw/source/ui/dbui/mmlayoutpage.cxx
Reassigning from OS to ES for verification in CWS os112.
Fixed but failed
Reassign
The last entries were wrong. I mixed issue numbers. This one is still untouched.
UI relevant -> 3.x We still have no idea what a "meaningful" content might be. Any recommendations?
As many other fields display no tips, maybe nothing is better than this? Illustration number is readable so or so.
If you as the submitter request that no tooltip should be shown and if neither os nor fl have complaints against that - why not?
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
