It is not possible to remove automatic italic formatting of symbols with the
"nitalic" keyword:

nitalic L

works, but

nitalic %GAMMA

does not work.

I guess, you use the formula editor ;)
The issue is duplicate to issue 36535. Please read the discussion there. It is
one part of the overall problem, that we need a new symbol font.

Thanks, I did not realize that the component is set to Wordprocessor when I
enter an issue for the code module starmath :-)
